Cardrona, New Zealand
Ski & Snowboard Instructor Course Resort Guide
Cardrona offers arguably the best skiing and snowboarding in NZ, if not the southern hemisphere. With diverse terrain and NZ’s highest lift-served skiing, you can be sure of some wonderful skiing or snowboarding . Students will live in the beautiful town Wanaka – by any measure, one of the coolest places on earth! The training programme, leading to the qualifications of the NZSIA, is very rigorous and SnowSkool recommends a minimum of five weeks prior on-snow experience. Learn between July and September, start working in November!
Summer-skiing!?!?
With established ski and snowboard instructor training programmes in the northern hemisphere (Sunshine Village, Banff & Big White, British Columbia) we began to miss skiing/ snowboarding between April and November. We felt many people would feel the same and so we looked to the southern hemisphere to get our fix! In choosing Cardrona Ski Resort on New Zealand’s south island, we applied the same thorough criteria that SnowSkool does with every ski and snowboard resort: great snow, diverse terrain, a solid transport network, luxury accommodation, a wonderful community, and good, nutritious meals. We think we have done pretty well.
