Hey just wanted to tell you what big white is like right now. I'm Chucky, you'll soon meet me. I'm the guy looking after the snowboard instructor training. So down to buisiness. It has snowed here pretty much every day this week. So i've had lots of freshies and am feeling really good about it. In case you don't know, we get alot of snow here. That's why i'm here and not somewhere else. Our steeps are about to open, the trees are always good, and our snowpack looks pretty solid for backcountry (for now, it is constantly changing). We have our park up and running. no jumps yet but lots of rails and boxs. Anyway i'm sure you've all read the ski reports and seen the online camera stuff, so there is no need for me to go on. I just figured that you should know first hand what it's like.

I look forward to meeting you all and riding with you. If you have any questions I will be signing on from time to time. or you can email me at
charlesgerrard@hotmail.com

thanks
chucky

Well it looks like Chucky beat me to welcoming you all and introducing myself. He's pretty quick, wait until you see him on a snowboard. You're not here yet so I guess the welcome part will take place in a couple of weeks but at this point I think I can introduce myself. My name is Josh and I have the distinct honour of being the Director of Snow Sports here at Canada's capitol of champange powder, Big White Ski Resort. My primary responsibility is the International Ski & Board School so I work directly with Phil and the Snow Skool team to make sure that you have the best experience possible skiing or snowboarding during your gap year or career break. I know I speak for all of us here when I say that we're looking forward to meeting all of you and we can't wait to get the on snow program going. We're off to a great start this season with a snow base of just under 140 cms. Below are a few pics from this past Saturday

This ain't Europe!

Safe travels and I look forward to seeing all of you. In the meantime if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to let me know at jfoster@bigwhite.com

See you soon,

Josh
