banff people dont go out till something like the 12th jan do they?

have you seen the weather forecasts for the canadian resorts?! i looked at a link in this forum somewhere for big white, -40c on a few nights and -26c during the day, and colder in the Rockies!!!! as im only in europe this season, cant they replicate the temperatures there and bring some much needed snow and coldness!

Steve, are u leaving school/college this year then doing the course? thats what i am doing

Yes mate, im in my final year of School sitting A-levels, then going on the course.

I was reading about a few avalanches they have been having in rockies, being as much at 20ft deep and 300ft wide. Now you would be scared if that was chasing you! But the snow looks amazing. I hope were blessed with the same next year.

Hey Steve/Benny

Just to let you know this place is amazing. No lift queues, great crowd and the instructors are sharp. The snowboarders have this legendary guy called chuck and we (the skiers) have the heroic twins Ollie and Will (they have posted some pieces on the forum) who have done the course before so have an excellent idea of what we're going through and suitable teaching

I know how you feel cos I signed up to this course at the end of 2005 so had to wait all year but it was sooo worth it. Anyway, I have some photo's but not enough time to upload them, here is just one for ya...

Sweeeeet - accesss all areas, night skiing, silver star - loving it! I'll post some more when I get them transferred to my web host programme

Just returned from a 10 day trip to BW, and enjoyed every second of it, apart from being a bit windy a couple of days, it has been nearly perfect. I actually met a couple of the current school. 2 english gentlemen, my lack of memory clouds their names, but from what they were saying, the school is excellent, and theyve only been there a week! Im definitly looking forward to december this year Very Happy

Hi new guys on the 2008 Course. Just got back in from Snowshoe sams, quality night out. Just thought I'd let you know I've set up a website for photo's - just a few from my vast collection -

http://www.flickr.com/photos/russmanincanada

And remember - "This course is an intensive snowsport course" so do not pay too much attention to the 'social' events that are featured at that web address. Trust me, the instructors really know how to push you to yur limits.... keep checking out the address above cos I'll keep updating it with photographs when and as they become available

Geez....Russell, what a salesman! You should enter a few of those photos in the SnowSkool photo of the week competition. Winner each week will be given a jug of beer - tell Dunk to sort it out.

Snow in Banff is very good, but nothing like BW (from the reports I have heard) - can't believe I am missing it!

See you soon.

P.S. Just looked at your website....almost brought a tear to my eye!

Benny, Steve - drop us a line phil@sportskool.co.uk if you want to get involved for next season!
