SnowSkool Programmes
UK passport holders who participate on a SnowSkool programme only need a tourist visa to complete the course. This is because the training course does not count as work and UK visitors are entitled to a free tourist visa when they arrive in New Zealand. Upon arrival you will receive a stamp in your passport which will be valid for a period of 6 months. Please note students who are current UK passport holders will not have to do anything in advance when travelling to New Zealand for a SnowSkool programme.

Working Visas
When it comes to deciding whether to turn ski or snowboard instruction into a full time career, you will need to consider whether you are legally allowed to work in your country of choice. For many UK passport holders this will require a working visa. To work in Canada, Australia or New Zealand UK passport holders will require a working holiday visa.

Australia
Working Holiday Visa - Perfect for working and travelling around Australia for up to 12 months, this visa is available to those between 18 and 30 years old.

Working Holiday Visa – Perfect for working and travelling around Canada for up to two 12 month periods, this visa is available to those between 18 and 30 years old.

Note – Visas are released in December, this is one year in advance of the intended working season.

NZ
IEP Work Exchange Visa – Available to 18 and 35 years olds to work and travel around New Zealand for up to 12 months. You can apply for this visa even if you’ve previously had the standard Working Holiday Visa. Working Holiday Visa - Perfect for working and travelling around New Zealand for up to 23 months, this visa is available to those between 18 and 30 years old.
