Ski & Snowboard Instructor Qualifications
What Instructor Qualifications can you pick up?
All SnowSkool ski and snowboard instructor courses are put together in conjunction with the Ski & Board School at the resort with which we work. And the qualifications we work towards are those set down by the country's regulatory bodies.
In Canada we work towards the standards set out by the Canadian Ski Instructors' Alliance (CSIA) and the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI).
In New Zealand we work towards the examinations of the New Zealand Snowsport Instructors' Alliance (NZSIA)
Both these bodies are members of the International Ski Instructors' Alliance (ISIA) - an international body that has 39 member states. This organisation attempts to outline certain standards to which all countries should adhere and strives to ensure that all members respect the qualifications of their peers. As a result the qualifications of the Canadian Ski Instructors' Alliance, the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors and the New Zealand Snowsport Instructors' Alliance are all recognised on an international footing and so facilitate the gaining of employment as a ski or snowboard instructor throughout the world.
