Short Snowboard Instructors Course
Early-season, 3-week snowboard instructors course
SnowSkool’s latest course offering is a fast-track into the snowboarding industry and could have you working as a snowboard instructor before the end of the year, just as the season is kicking off. This snowboard instructors course takes place in Banff and starts before most Canadian resorts are even open for the season, such is the reliability of the snowfall in Banff!
So whether you are looking to take a holiday and spend a few weeks working on your snowboarding technique in order to improve your riding or whether this is the first step towards a career as a snowboard instructor, this is a fantastic opportunity to achieve your goals in a short period. And what a place to do it...Banff is a bustling little town in the Canadian Rockies with a nightlife to rival any snowboard resort in the world!

Who chooses this course?

Because this is SnowSkool's shortest snowboard instructor course in Canada, students must arrive as strong riders. You should be able to ride comfortably on all on-piste terrain and in most conditions.
The early-season crew is normally made up of those on a gap year after school or university looking to spend the season in Canada and people taking a three-week holiday to work on their snowboarding.
Finally, everyone who does our short courses wishes they could have stayed longer ... can you stretch to a longer course? Check out SnowSkool's other snowboarding instructor courses.
Snowboard Instructors' Qualifications
CASI Level 1 Snowboard INstructor

SnowSkool’s snowboard instructors have a period of just three weeks to put you through your paces and train you to sit (and pass) the CASI level 1 snowboard instructor exam. Fortunately we have some of Canada’s most experienced and highly-qualified snowboard instructors to achieve this! And, as a result, we have a 100% pass rate going back seven years.
The Level 1 represents the first rung in the CASI ladder but is a snowboarding qualification that can see you working as a snowboard instructor in countries such as Andorra, Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, Japan, UK and the USA. For those looking to improve their snowboarding, becoming a snowboard instructor is one of the best ways to ensure sound technical progress with your riding.

Stories from the front line
Dan Cockerill, 22, SnowSkool Banff 2009

Dan works for his family’s business (Birmingham’s finest cake makers) and he felt that the three-weeker was ideal as a break to improve his riding and get his Level 1 qualification. This he duly achieved and back to a huge vat of flour, milk and butter he returned...although, with a spring in his step!
