SBINZ Snowboard Instructor Qualifications
In New Zealand, SnowSkool runs a snowboard instructors course at Cardrona on the south island. Conforming to the local culture, we train you to the standards and exams set down by the SBINZ (Snowboard Instructors of New Zealand). SBINZ is an active member of ISIA (the International Snowboard Instructors’ Alliance) which regulates the equivalency between the different country’s codes and upholds members to work as snowboard instructors internationally.
NEW ZEALAND SNOWBOARD INSTRUCTOR QUALIFICATIONS WITH SNOWSKOOL
New Zealand Snowboard Instructor - SBINZ Level 1
This five-day modular course will focus on your snowboarding technique as well as your ability to teach. Successful candidates will have the ability to perform dynamic turns on and off-piste and be comfortable on black runs and with basic freestyle movements. You must be able to ride all blue runs with good form and using an efficient blend of movements as well as demonstrating smooth switch riding on green terrains.

New Zealand Snowboard Instructor - SBINZ Level 2
As you progress within the industry, the SBINZ Level 2 snowboard instructor qualification is your ticket to work as a snowboard instructor internationally. With this five-day certificate, you will be expected to teach carving on intermediate terrain and basic freestyle tricks such as switch riding on intermediate terrain, ollies, nose rolls and 180s (backside and frontside).

Freestyle Accreditation Level 1
This is the first of two SBINZ freestyle accreditations and it was created for those looking to teach freestyle snowboarding in and out of the park. Tricks-wise, the riding standards involve straight airs (forwards and switch), various grabs, 180s and 360s (both front- and back-side) plus clean hop turns & 360s in the pipe and grinding basic rails. It is a three-day course that is probably the most fun-filled and constructive three days you will every experience!
